At a South Indian level medical debate held at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, two students of KVG MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, Sullia won the first Place. At this Five-day event (5th-9th September 2018) Ms.Siddhi Hegde and Ms.Shreya Sreeram, 3rd year students of KVGMCH, Sullia put forth their arguments in a rigorous battle of wits against numerous other teams and won laurels for their institution. Ms.Siddhi Hegde bagged “The Best Speaker” Award. The topics were challenging- “the root cause of violence against doctors is incompetence” and “mbbs graduates should be relicensed periodically”. The students were accompanied by their mentor, Dr. Puneeth Kumar BP, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, KVG Medical College & Hospital Sullia, who guided them and trained them to secure the First Place.
