Breast cancer awareness and screening Camp conducted on 13.11.2018 at Tekkil Community Hall Aranthod collaboration Primary Health Centrte Aranthod, Anwarul-Huda Youngmen’s Association ® Aranthodu Sullia and Tekkil Foundation Aranthod Sullia D.K.

KVG Medical College & Hospital, conducted Breast cancer awareness and screening Camp on 13th Nov 2018 at Tekkil Community Hall Aranthod in collaboration with Primary Health Centrte Aranthod, Anwarul-Huda Youngmen’s Association ® Aranthodu Sullia and Tekkil Foundation Aranthod Sullia D.K. Camp started with inaugural ceremony function by Dr.Subramanya Taluk Health Officer Sullia D.K. In inaugural speech he told about importance and need of the awareness camp for general public. Dr. Geeta Doppa Prof & HOD OBG Dept KVGMCH, given awareness programme in her speech she told about the breast cancer and how to detect & also treatment . She also clarify the participants doubts about the same. Dr.Geetha Doppa she also told about services & facilities available in KVG Medical College hospital. In the inaugural function Dr.Tajauddin Asst Prof KMC, Mrs. Leelavathi President Aranthodu Village Panchayat, Mr. T.M. Shahid, Dr. Namita PHC Medical Officer Aranthodu, Mr.Shashidhar , Mrs.Prashanthi PRO KVGMCH, SHG members, ASHA workers ,ANM’s ,KVG Medical College Hospital camp team, and other organizing members & volunteers were present in the function. Large number of villagers was participated in the programme.

Dean

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
