At a national-level medical debate held at Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha, Maharastra, two students of KVG MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, Sullia won the first place and bagged the best team trophy. At this two-day event (6th &7th August) Ms.Siddhi Hegde and Ms.Shreya Sreeram, 3rd year students of KVGMCH, Sullia put forth their arguments in a rigorous battle of wits against numerous other teams from all over the country and won laurels for their institution. The topics were challenging- “legalization of homosexuality” and “threatened freedom of speech is a threat to democracy”. The students were accompanied by their mentor, Dr. Puneeth Kumar BP, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, KVG Medical College & Hospital Sullia, who guided them and trained them to secure the Best Team Award.
