National Girl Child Day is celebrated every year on the 24th of January to create awareness about the rights of the girl child, to remove gender-based bias, and to educate the girl child.
Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology organised a program on National Girl Child Day on 24th January 2024 at KVG Medical College and Hospital Sullia. To mark the day’s importance, a slogan competition is conducted for staff and students.
