KVG Medical College & Hospital, Sullia, commemorated Organ Donation Awareness Day 2025 on 7th August at Lecture Hall-1, with the theme “Angdaan Jeevan Sanjivini Abhiyaan.”
The program was presided by Dr. K.V. Chidanand, President, AOLE. Dean Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan inaugurated the event, and Dr. C. Ramachandra Bhat, Medical Superintendent, delivered an insightful address highlighting the importance of organ donation, its benefits, and the procedure to pledge organs.
The awareness campaign featured inter-institutional competitions—drawing, painting, reel making, caricature, and collage making—with active participation from KVG group institutions. Winners were awarded, and a street play by KVG Institute of Nursing students emphasized the significance of organ donation.
Dr. Namratha K.G., Professor, Dept. of Microbiology, delivered the welcome address. The event was smoothly coordinated by the Students’ Council, led by Mr. Nikshep. The presence of faculty, HODs, principals, and students made the event a memorable success in promoting awareness and compassion.
