International Men’s Day Celebration 2025

International Men’s Day was celebrated by KVG Group of institutions on 19th November 2025 at the Auditorium, KVG Medical College & Hospital, Sullia. The purpose is to promote positive male role models, celebrate men’s contributions to society, and focus on men’s health and wellbeing. It also aims to highlight discrimination against men, improve gender relations, and create a safer world for all. The day encourages conversations about the challenges men and boys face, such as mental health and social issues, and promotes healthier, more balanced gender relations.

Teaching and non-teaching staff from our group institutions participated in the celebration.

The formal function began with welcome dance and invocation, seeking divine blessings. The following dignitaries were on the stage.

  2. Chief Guest – Mr.Aravind Bolar – Comedy Actor of Tulu cinemas
  3. Guest of Honour Smt Shobha Chidananda – Vice President AOLE®
  4. Dr.Neelambikai Natarajan – DEAN, KVGMCH
  5. Dr.Leeladhar D V – Pricipal, KVGAMCH                                   

The Principal of KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital extended a warm welcome and foreword. The lamp lighting was performed by the guests. The Dean addressed on the occasion highlighting the importance of the day and constructive role of Men in family and society and wishing Men.

Dr.Ravikanth G O, Professor – Dept. of OBG, gave presentation on importance on Health and good health habits, which was very much related to the programme.

The Chief Guest addressed the gathering on the occasion citing his personal and career experience of role of men in society, problems men experience in life and future role of men in family and society.

This was followed by the felicitation of Chief Guest on the occasion for his outstanding contribution for the tulu cinema industry.

In the presidential speech Dr. K V Chidananda Sir appreciated for organising Men’s day celebration and highlighted the changing role of men in family and society. 

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizing team, followed by a vibrant cultural presentation that added colour and cheer to the celebration. The program ended with national anthem.

Dean

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
