KVGMCH SILVER JUBILEE INAUGURATION CEREMONY-2026

The Silver Jubilee Inauguration Ceremony of KVG Medical College and Hospital, Sullia was conducted with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 24th April 2026, marking 25 years of excellence in medical education, healthcare, and service to society.

The programme commenced with the auspicious arrival of  Dr. Dharmapalanatha Swamiji, whose presence added spiritual significance to the occasion. He was ceremonially received with Poornakumbha and a Nursing Band welcome.

Following the reception, the dignitaries proceeded to inaugurate the newly established KVC-1 and KVC-2 auditoriums through ribbon cutting, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and offering prayers to Lord Ganapathi. A commemorative video was also screened in the new auditorium. The procession then moved to the main auditorium for the formal inauguration ceremony.

The formal function began with an invocation by  Dr. Vaishnavi, followed by a graceful Bharatanatyam performance by Ms. Devika. The spiritual ambiance was further enriched by Shloka chanting and Shankhanaada performed by Mr. Kripanidhi and Mr. Rakshith. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries marked the official inauguration.

The programme was effectively compered by Dr. Anjali Rao (Associate Professor, Pathology), Mrs. Rakshatha Ramesh (Tutor, Physiology), and Mr. Theerthesh Pareopady, ensuring smooth conduct throughout.

A highlight of the event was the timeline video presentation, coordinated by    Dr. Apoorva Dore (Associate Professor, Community Medicine), which showcased the remarkable journey of the institution over the past 25 years. This was followed by glimpses of pre-launch celebrations (April 19–23, 2026), including spiritual rituals, Cultural Day, flag hoisting, balloon release, and rangoli and pookalam competitions.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Geetha Doppa, Professor and Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan, Dean of KVGMCH, presented the vision and plans for the Jubilee year. The Chief Guest was formally introduced by Dr. Namratha K. G., Professor, Department of Microbiology.

The programme featured the Ashirvachana (blessings) by  Dr. Dharmapalanatha Swamiji, followed by addresses from distinguished guests:

An inspiring Alumni Address was delivered by Dr. Preethiraj Ballal, reflecting on the institution’s legacy and impact. The ceremony concluded with the Presidential Address by Dr. K. V. Chidananda, emphasizing the institution’s continued commitment to excellence.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Navya B. N., Professor, Department of Pathology, followed by the National Anthem.

The food arrangements were efficiently managed by Dr. Ranjith K. B., Professor, Department of General Surgery.

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
