The monthly Academic Society Meeting was conducted on 25th June 2026 at 3:00 PM in Dr KVC Hall– 2. Faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns from various departments attended the session.
The meeting consisted of two scientific presentations delivered by postgraduate students from the department of Community Medicine and ENT.
The details of presentation are as follows:
1.“Prevalence and risk factors of falls and functional independence among elderly in Sullia, Dakshina Kannada: A cross-sectional study”

2.“Prevalence of SNHL among Hypothyroid patients: A Cross-sectional comparative study.”
Presenter: Dr Srinidhi V, III PG, Dept. of ENT
Moderator: Dr. Ravishankara S, Prof. and HOD, Dept. of ENT
The program was coordinated by Dr. Ranjith K B, Professor, Department of General Surgery while Dr. Karthik K S, Asst. Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine hosted the academic meet.
The meeting was attended by Heads of departments, faculty members, postgraduates, and interns from various departments. The moderators provided valuable insights and facilitated interactive discussions following each presentation. The session concluded with appreciation for the presenters’ efforts.
