70th Birthday Celebration of Chairman, Dr. K.V. Chidananda Sir-2025

The KVG Group of Institutions, Sullia, celebrated the 70th birthday of our beloved Chairman, Dr. K.V. Chidananda, President of AOLE®, Sullia, with immense joy, reverence, and gratitude. The grand celebration took place in the presence of dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students from across the KVG family, marking a memorable milestone in the journey of an inspiring leader dedicated to education and healthcare.

The event began with a ceremonial procession, followed by escorting the guests to the venue. The celebration opened with an invocation seeking divine blessings, setting a serene and dignified tone. The Dean of KVG Medical College and Hospital , Dr Neelambikai Natarajan extended a warm welcome and foreword, highlighting the Chairman’s lifelong contribution to building the KVG legacy and nurturing generations of learners.

The lighting of the lamp symbolized wisdom, enlightenment, and service. A heartfelt segment short video  titled“Memories: A Life Dedicated to Healing and Humanity – Dr. K.V. Chidananda” reflected on his remarkable journey as a visionary, medical professional, and compassionate leader.

The stage then welcomed eminent personalities including Dr. Chandrashekar Shetty (Former Vice-Chancellor, RGUHS, Bangalore), Sri K.R. Gangadhara (Retd. Principal, NMPUC, Aranthodu), Dr. D.M. Doddabadre Gowda (Medical Director, Manohara Sai Gowda Memorial Hospital, Kolara), Dr. Manjunath D.T., Dr. Krishne Gowda, and Dr. Siddhu Prakash, who shared their experiences and words of admiration during the address by special invitees.

This was followed by a felicitation ceremony, where Dr. K.V. Chidananda  sirwas honoured for his outstanding contributions to the fields of education, medicine, and social service. The celebration continued with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, marking his 70th year of life and leadership.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. K.V. Chidananda sir expressed heartfelt gratitude to his colleagues, students, and well-wishers, reaffirming his commitment to advancing education and healthcare in rural Karnataka. His words of humility and vision inspired everyone present.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizing team, followed by a vibrant cultural presentation that added colour and cheer to the celebration. The program ended with a lunch hosted by the management, symbolizing togetherness and gratitude.

The day truly reflected the spirit of the theme “A Life Dedicated to Healing and Humanity,” celebrating not just a birthday but a lifetime of leadership, service, and inspiration.

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
