On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, a thematic banner reflecting this year’s focus was prepared and prominently displayed near the OPD area and adjacent to the Ganesh statue.
A special program was later held in Lecture Hall 1 for the Final Year MBBS students. Dr. Prakash Rao, Head of the Department of General Medicine, delivered the inaugural address and emphasized the importance of diabetes awareness and prevention.
This was followed by an innovative quiz competition conducted by Dr. Sarfaraz, Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine. Students actively participated in the quiz, contributing to the success of the programme. Prizes were awarded to the winners in recognition of their performance.
The event concluded with an address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan, Dean of KVG Medical College & Hospital, who highlighted the significance of World Diabetes Day and appreciated the efforts of the participants, winners, and the organizing team.
