FOUNDER PRESIDENT

The Institute KVG Medical College and Hospital was established in year 2002 by Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, Founder President of Academy Of Liberal Education (R), Sullia, D.K. with an aim of producing world class professionals in specialized field of Medical sciences. The Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Karnataka) Bangalore and is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).

KVGMCH is undergoing rapid Development towards expansion of both teaching & Hospital Services.

ADMINISTRATIVE SETUP

Academy of Liberal Education (R.), AOLE, Sullia D.K. is the apex body for the planning and development of the College. Services of the Medical Director, Executive Director, The Director and Principal are available to assist the Academy. The College council consisting of Heads of the Department helps the Administrator in the day to day functioning of the Institution.

Dr. K.V. CHIDANANDA

Dr. K.V. Chidananda is a distinguished figure in the field of medicine, renowned for his multifaceted contributions as a surgeon, educator, and administrator. Currently serving as the President of the Academy of Liberal Education (R), Sullia D.K., he also holds the pivotal role of Medical Director at the hospital under his stewardship.
Dr. Chidananda’s academic journey began at the prestigious Govt. Mysore Medical College, where he completed his undergraduate studies. His pursuit of excellence led him to Govt. Stanley Medical College, Chennai, where he earned a Master’s Degree in General Surgery, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

His commitment to continuous professional development is underscored by his fellowship memberships: he is a Fellow of the Association of Indian Surgeons (FAIS), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Health (FRSPH) in the U.K., and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) in Chicago and New York, USA. With an extensive career spanning 28 years in surgical practice and administration, Dr. Chidananda has garnered profound experience and insights. Notably, he has dedicated three decades to shaping the future of medicine through teaching and nurturing countless aspiring medical professionals along the way. His leadership extends beyond medical practice; he is the esteemed Founder President of the Sullia branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), reflecting his commitment to advancing medical standards and community health Dr. Chidananda’s holistic approach to healthcare combines clinical excellence with educational innovation and administrative acumen, making him a respected figure in both medical and academic circles. His contributions continue to enrich the medical community, embodying a legacy of service, knowledge, and leadership in healthcare.

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.

Dr. C. Ramachandra Bhat

Dr. C Ramachandra Bhat has a distinguished career spanning over 22 years in teaching and clinical practice. He obtained his MBBS degree from Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur in 1992, followed by a post-graduation in General Medicine from Kottayam Medical College in 1998. Dr. Bhat has extensive experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, serving as an examiner for various universities.
He is recognized for his contributions as an academician and a highly regarded clinician. With over a decade of administrative experience, he has held significant roles such as Professor, Head of the Department, and Clinical Director. His expertise extends to apex body norms and quality management in healthcare.
Since May 2024, Dr. C Ramachandra Bhat has been heading the college hospital, bringing his wealth of knowledge and leadership to this new role.

Dr. Sandesh K. S.

Dr. Sandesh K. S. has 15 years of experience in administration. He holds two doctoral degrees from the University of Mysore, specializing in Public Health and Globalization. His role includes overseeing academic affairs administration and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards set by top bodies. Dr. Sandesh collaborates closely with the Dean and management to enhance communication between the administration and various regulatory and apex bodies. His work aims to improve efficiency and adherence to standards within the academic environment.
