Our curriculum is designed to offer a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in public health.

Our department actively engages in a variety of public health initiatives, including health camps, community outreach programs, and partnerships with Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs). These activities are integral to our educational approach, ensuring that students gain real-world experience in dealing with public health challenges.

The training programs for interns and postgraduate students include rotations through different community settings, where they work under the guidance of experienced faculty members. This exposure helps them understand the complexities of public health issues and develop the skills needed to address them effectively.

Our facilities comply with the National Medical Commission (NMC) standards, providing students with access to modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and a rich library of resources. Additionally, we have collaborations with local healthcare facilities, which enhance the learning experience through practical exposure to community health practices.

We also emphasize research in public health, encouraging students to undertake projects that can contribute to the improvement of community health services. Our faculty members are always available to mentor students, fostering a supportive learning environment.

The Department of Community Medicine at KVG Medical College is committed to delivering quality education and training in public health.
