Late Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda (1928–2013): A Visionary Leader Who Transformed Rural Hamlets into Premier Educational Destinations:

Dr. KVG was the resolute spirit behind the modernization of rural areas, leading them to become premier educational hubs in the country. As the visionary behind the establishment of AOLE (Academy of Liberal Education (R.)), which now houses a multitude of esteemed educational institutions, his leadership was transformative. With his unwavering determination, inclusive approach, and engaging personality,
Dr. KVG earned a legion of supporters. His assertiveness and dedication ensured that he committed all his energy and resources until every objective was achieved. He was an architect of progress, whose vision shaped essential societal structures. Dr. KVG set high standards of excellence while fostering cultural innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, not only within the institution he founded but in the broader community.His commitment to community service stands as another testament to his generosity. Dr. KVG established 18 Kalyana Mantapas (wedding halls) across southern Karnataka and a well-furnished town hall in Sullia.

1928 – 2013

His philanthropy extended to supporting school buildings, local temples, youth clubs, Ranga Mandiras, and adult education centers. Moreover, he made significant contributions to education by funding over 157 English libraries in primary schools throughout Sullia. As the president of Sullia Town Panchayat,
Dr. KVG was instrumental in the overall development of the taluk, playing a key role in establishing a government hospital, a government PU college with science education, a bus stand, a judicial court, a town hall, and a public library, among other vital facilities. For his numerous contributions across various sectors, Dr. KVG was honored with a host of prestigious awards, including the Rajiv Ekatha Award, the Glory of India International Award, the Parisara Ratna International Award, and an Honorary Doctorate from Florida University. Though Dr. KVG is no longer with us, his legacy continues to thrive through the ongoing contributions of the institution he founded. We take immense pride in building upon the strong foundation he laid, inspired by the enduring example of his visionary leadership.

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
