K.V.G. Medical College & Hospital, Sullia, organized the Student Council Inaugural Function to induct the Student Council for the academic year 2026–27 and Freshers Day “Aaritaarang–2026” to formally welcome the newly admitted students
Proceedings of the Program
The program commenced at 12:00 PM with the welcoming of dignitaries, followed by an invocation prayer. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Geeta Doppa J, Student Advisor, who formally welcomed the dignitaries, faculty, and students. The dignitaries participated in the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. The staff committee heads for the academic year 2026–27 were officially announced. The outgoing Vice President Ms Harshitha shared insights from their tenure and motivated the incoming council members to uphold responsibility and teamwork. Badges were presented to Student Council Members, Class Representatives and to the Deputies which marked the formal induction of student representatives. The oath of office was administered by Dr. Namratha, Student Welfare Officer, wherein the newly elected council members pledged to perform their duties with integrity and dedication. The newly elected President and Vice President of the Student Council addressed the gathering and shared their vision, goals, and commitment toward student welfare and institutional development. Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan, Dean, KVGMC&H, addressed the gathering, emphasizing academic excellence, discipline, and the role of students in upholding the reputation of the institution. The Presidential address was done by Dr KV Chidananda, President AOLE ® sullia, Medical Director KVGMC&H, Sullia reinforced the institution’s vision and encouraged students to strive for excellence in all domain. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the newly elected General Secretary Mr Vidya Sagar and Joint Secretary Ms Chandana of the Student Council, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, management, faculty, organizing committee, and students for their support and participation.
The event was conducted in a well-organized and time-bound manner. It served as an important platform to welcome the new batch of students and to formally inaugurate the Student Council, thereby fostering leadership, responsibility, and institutional engagement.
Following the formal inauguration of the Student Council, a Fresher’s Party “Aaritaarang–2026” was conducted. The event featured cultural performances and interactive activities, providing an informal platform for fresher’s to engage with peers and seniors.
