KVGMCH Silver Jubilee Celebrations – Rangoli / Pookalam Competition – 2026

As part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, a Rangoli / Pookalam Competition was conducted on 23rd April 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The theme for the event was “25 Years in Medical Excellence.” The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and postgraduates across various institutions under KVG, including MBBS, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Physiotherapy, and Medical PGs. Participants creatively depicted medical themes incorporating symbols such as stethoscopes, ECG patterns, and concepts reflecting 25 years of excellence. Total of 10  teams participated of which 3 teams participated in pookalam competition and 7 teams participated in rangoli competition. The event was witnessed and judged by Dr. Gautam Gowda , Treasurer AOLE , Dean Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan,  Dr. Geeta Doppa, chief Student Advisor , Dr. Shruti Rai, Cultural Coordinator, Dr Namratha Student welfare officer, Dr. Apoorva, Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine and Dr. Sai Geeta, Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery Winners of the event Pookalam Category

  • 1st Prize: Slot No. 8 (MBBS Team – Yehwanthi G, Sowparnika SG, Sahana HM, Vishnupriya Nair, Shivani P)
  • 2nd Prize: Slot No. 4 (BPT Team – Fida, Shahna, Ruba, Abhaya, Ardra)
The competition was vibrant and engaging, showcasing not only artistic talent but also the spirit of teamwork and innovation among participants. The event added color and enthusiasm to the Silver Jubilee celebrations and was appreciated by faculty, students, and judges alike.

Dean

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
