KSCASI MIDCON-2026

On 8th  August The  Midcon  Began  with Formal Inauguration By Chairman, Secretary, And President  AOLE. A total  of  400 delegates  registered.

In  the  hall A, Programme started  with Panel Discussion on Update on Acute  Pancreatitis by Dr Preeti S P. The Panelists  were Dr . Balakrishna S N ,Dr.SameerAhammed, Dr Anand I and Dr Savitha K. This  was followed by talks  by Dr Vineeth V K- Biomarkers in Sepsis, Damge Control Resuscitation by Dr ShilpaH,Intresting and Complex cases in Plastic Surgery by Dr Bhaskar K.G. Deciphering Abdominal C.T. was done By Dr. Goutham G, Clinical Approach in Solitary Nodule Thyroid by Dr. Smith S Rao .

This  was  followed by Symposium on Diabetic Foot : from prevention to limb Salvage by Dr.Naaz Jahan Shaik .

From 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM Award Trauma  Papers were presented in Hall A. Total of 9 papers were presented. A total of 27 Free papers  were presented by Post graduates at Hall B C,D, and  60 Free Posters  were Presented  at Hall E, During Same time.

       Post Lunch there  was  a  video session From 2:00pm to 3: pm. This  was followed  by Award Poster  session in  Hall A – 11 Trauma Award Posters  were Presented. Simultaneously in  Hall B,C,D – Free papers  about 27 were presented. At the  same time 60 posters  were presented  in  the  Hall E – between 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

      An Extra Ordinary  GB meeting  was  held  at Hall C Chaired  by Dr Naaz J Shaik , with  Hon secretary and  treasurer. During  the same  time  Quiz  was  conducted  at Hall A , By Dr Pavan Bhat KMC Manipal. Post Graduate Students  participated in  the Quiz.

In  the  evening  the  Guest Of Honour  Dr Sujatha B L RathodHonorable DME Karnataka State  was welcomed and The  Inaugral Ceremony was conducted between 7-8:30 pm which  was  Follwed by Grand  Dinner.Invocation, VandeMataram, State Anthem and Bharthanatyam were followed by .Speeches  were done  as  per Protocol. Dr.GopinathaPai G P,Organising  Chairman  Welcomed  the gathering. This  was Followed by Honouring  the  Guests. The conference Midcon  wasInaugarated by Dr. K.V. chidananda followed by Inaugral Address, and Honouring. This  was  Followed by Addressby  the  chief  Guest Dr. Sujatha  Rathod B L. and  the Honouring . This  followed words  by esteemed  Guests  on  the  Dias and Speech  by Dr. Naaz  Jahan Shaik the 

Chairman- President of  Conference. Dr Naaz  JShaik  and  Dr. A.K. Rai senior  reknowned Surgeon were  Honoured. Karnataka Journal of Surgery was  released by Dr. Sujatha Rathod B L , and E Shastra was  also released by Dr NeelambikaiNatarajn Dean .Dr.Ranjith K B rendered  Vote  of  thanks  Followed by National Anthem.

On  the  9th of  August 8:45 am the  Clinical Case Presentation were  done with  Students  from KVGMC presented  the  Case  and  was  Moderated  by Dr.K.RajgopalShenoy and  many  others. Between 10:30  to 11:30 am Lectures  by Senior  Surgeons, Dr H V Shivaram, Dr M SriramBhat,tookplace.The session from 11:30 to 1:00pm , HallA- Award Posters-12, and  at  Hall B,C,D-27 free papers  and  at  Hall E: Free posters 30  were  conducted.

This  was  followed by Inaugaration of POCUS with delegates  registering 50  post Graduate  was  done. Closing  Ceremony,  which  was  Presided by Dr. Naaz Jahan Shaik ,Dr. Sarvesh Hon Sec KSCASI, Dr. K.V. Chidanad, and Words  of  Appreciations, Moments  were  done  by Dr. GopinathaPai and Dr. Ranjith K B the  Hosts.

The  Vote  of  Thanks  was  rendered  by Dr. Gurubasavan Gouda Hon Treasurer. Programme  concluded  with National  Anthem.

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
