Paediatric Cardiology Lecture Series – 2026

As a part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of KVG Medical College & Hospital, the Department of Paediatrics at KVG Hospital organized a Paediatric Cardiology Lecture Series on 17/06/2026. The event was conceived to commemorate 25 years of institutional milestone by providing academic enrichment in the field of cardiology.

The lecture series aimed to provide exposure to eminent speakers and specialists in the field and to encourage academic engagement among students in both offline and online modes.

The lecture series was held in hybrid mode, allowing participation both in person and online. A total of 277 participants attended the event (180 people attended in person at KVG Hospital and 97 participants joined online).

The session was conducted by Dr. Anil Kumar J. S., Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist (MBBS, MD, DrNB), Paediatric Cardiology SS, Narayana Health Superspeciality Hospital, Davangere, covering topics such as the approach to congenital heart diseases and their management.

The Paediatric Cardiology Lecture Series successfully fulfilled its objective of combining academic excellence with the spirit of the Silver Jubilee celebrations. The Department of Paediatrics extends its gratitude to all speakers, organizers, and participants who contributed to the success of this event.

Dean

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan

Dr. Neelambikai Natarajan is a alumna of Thanjavur Medical College, where she obtained her medical degree. She further pursued her MD in Physiology from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Hospital Administration from Alagappa University.

Throughout her academic medical career, Dr. Natarajan has served in various capacities at several prominent institutions, including Madras Medical College, Madurai Medical College, Government Medical College Coimbatore, Government KAP Vishwanathan Medical College in Trichy, and Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchipuram. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she has held the position of Dean in multiple medical colleges for more than a decade. Her expertise in faculty training within medical education has earned her widespread recognition.

In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Natarajan has served as an assessor on the Medical Council of India (MCI) panel for over 15 years. She was also an Ex-Senate member of the MGR University and Secretary of the Ethics Committee. Dr. Natarajan has completed an Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME). Since 2019, she has been serving as the Dean at KVG Medical College and Hospital in Sullia.
